Important Update: Hurricane Helene Weather Advisory
In coordination with the City of Norton and local emergency management personnel, Norton City Schools is closely monitoring the potential impacts of Hurricane Helene. While dangerous conditions are not imminent at this time, we want to ensure the safety of all our students and staff.
As a precaution, Norton City Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, September 27, to allow additional time to assess weather conditions in the morning. This will help us make the safest possible decision for our students.
We encourage all families to stay informed and continue following local news and updates from the City of Norton. For further information regarding hurricane preparations, please refer to the City of Norton's Public Service Announcement, available on their website and social media platforms.
Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe!
Stay tuned for further updates via our NCS app and NCS social media.

The 7th grade math students at NEMS presented to 6th graders as their final exam. The objective was to inform the 6th graders about key points and what to expect on different units coming into 7th grade. It also built confidence and personal growth to speak and present in front of their peers. Most students were nervous but persevered and felt good about themselves in the end! Congrats 7th graders on your Journey through NEMS!
