🚨 Attention Burton Families 🚨
Due to ice and snow-covered sidewalks, Burton afternoon walkers will need to be picked up at the Burton drive-through or ride the bus home this afternoon, January 15, 2025.

Norton City Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay, Thursday, January 16, 2025, utilizing the following alternate routes:
Hamner: Students will meet at the bottom of the hill.
Sawmill: Students will meet near the entrance to Sawmill Park.
Laurel Ave. and Chapman St.: Students will meet at the Destination Center.
There will not be a bus run for the Dorchester route for the remainder of this week.

Norton City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, due to icy conditions. It is our intention to reopen on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, January 15, weather permitting.

Good afternoon,
Wednesday, January 8, 2025 will be a Remote Learning/Virtual Day for Norton City Schools. Since we are just coming off break, this decision is to maximize our instructional time. Hopefully, the weather will clear soon, and we can get our second semester started smoothly.
Students and families can check student school email, google classroom, and classroom communication apps for instructions on guidelines and material for the virtual day.

Congratulations! Raider Robotics won the “Judges Choice” award at the competition in Charlottesville the week of November 25, 2024.
This award recognizes a team whose “unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition but does not fall into the traditional awards category.” Raider robotics were recognized for their “commitment to travel the distance to Charlottesville and their willingness to assist other teams throughout the competition.”
