Norton City Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay, Thursday, January 16, 2025, utilizing the following alternate routes: Hamner: Students will meet at the bottom of the hill. Sawmill: Students will meet near the entrance to Sawmill Park. Laurel Ave. and Chapman St.: Students will meet at the Destination Center. Congratulations! Raider Robotics won the “Judges Choice” award at the competition in Charlottesville the week of November 25, 2024. This award recognizes a team whose “unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition but does not fall into the traditional awards category.” Raider robotics were recognized for their “commitment to travel the distance to Charlottesville and their willingness to assist other teams throughout the competition.” Gina Wohlford, Ph.D.
