Dear Norton City Schools Families, Staff, and Community Partners,

As I begin my 31st year in education and my 9th year serving as Superintendent of Norton City Schools, I am filled with deep gratitude and renewed energy for the journey ahead. It is both a privilege and a calling to continue working alongside such dedicated educators, staff, parents, and community members to shape the lives of the students—our most valuable resource.

At Norton City Schools, the mission is clear: to provide a safe, supportive, and rigorous learning environment that cultivates critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. The vision remains steadfast: to empower all students to become responsible, productive citizens who are prepared to succeed in an ever-changing world.

To guide the Division’s collective efforts this year, I am proud to unveil the 2025–2026 Division Theme:

"Rooted in Community. Growing Every Child."

This theme reflects the deep belief that student success is nurtured through strong community partnerships, compassionate teaching, and a steadfast commitment to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of the whole child. We are not just teaching curriculum—we are building futures. From early learners to graduating seniors, the goal is to help every student grow into a confident, capable, and civic-minded individual who contributes positively to the community.

The Division remains focused on:

• Supporting every learner with equitable access, personalized support, and high expectations

• Investing in people—teachers, paraprofessionals, staff, and administrators who give their heart to the students daily

• Strengthening community connections through ongoing collaboration with families, local agencies, and business leaders

• Celebrating the identity of Norton as a small, strong, and resilient school division where everyone matters

As we step into this new school year, I challenge each of us—whether in the classroom, the cafeteria, the bus, or the boardroom—to hold fast to the shared purpose. Let’s keep the roots strong in community and stretch every branch to help the children reach their fullest potential.
