Welcome to your Norton Elementary School PTA on the web!

Please remember to join your PTA.  More than 30 years' worth of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school.  Grades and test scores climb.  Self-esteem grows.  Schools improve.  There's a simple way for you to help your child succeed:  Join PTA.  PTA is America's number one parent involvement resource.  Please join by filling out the membership form (click here) along with payment to NES PTA and returning it to your child's homeroom teacher.  Fees are $5.00 per person.  Please visit the PTA national website listed below to sample the benefits you'll reap when you join PTA.

PTA helps parents, students, school staff, and communities work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit children.  In the past year, we have participated in and/or contributed to:
1.  Grandparents Visitation Day
2.  Fall Festival

Food City's Apples for the Students program will continue until the end of the school year.  This year you don't have to send in Food City receipts.  All you have to do is go to your local Food City and register your Value Card for Norton Elementary School.  Every time you use your Value Card, you help NES.

Start Clipping!
It's time to clip those tops and labels.  Raise money from Campbell's soup, General Mills, Betty Crocker, many more all of which can be found at www.boxtops4-education.com.  Food city receipts are no longer being collected, instead all you have to do is register your Food City Value Card and all your purchases will be credited to the NES account.

Don't forget to also start saving Tyson Foods box tops for the Tyson Project A+ fund raiser.  When you use these products, cut the label from the container and send the label(s) to school.  your labels will help NES earn equipment and materials for instruction.  The classroom with the highest number labels collected throughout the school year will be rewarded with a party.  See the examples below:
