Congratulations to the following Burton Band

Senior All-County Band was
held at Central High School on Friday and Saturday, January 27th
and 28th. The clinic and concert was conducted by Dr.
Stephen Kerr, Band Director at Liberty University in Lynchburg,
VA.

Junior and Senior All-District Band was held at the Bristol
Holiday Inn and Convention Center on Friday and Saturday, February
3rd and 4th. Shelby C. was first chair in Senior Symphonic
Band and will audition for All-Virginia Band. Chris H. was
6th chair in Junior Symphonic Band and performed in the world
premiere performance of "Mozart's Sandbox", composed by
Maj. Scott McKenzie of the U.S. Army. Peyton S. (not
pictured) was 10th chair in Junior Concert Band.
