The J. I. Burton Raider Band was featured in the August 2011 issue of "Teaching Music", the
bi-monthly professional journal of MENC: The National
Association for Music Education. The article dealt with
educational travel, and the Burton Band was selected due
to performing in the International NATO Festival in Norfolk this past
